So let them use the red Star of David, if they must. That's a non starter. The diamond (the star to be used only in Israel or countries that allow it) was a compromise.

I hold the Red Cross organization responsible for this. They could solve it if they really wanted to. In general, the Red Cross stinks. Give your money to the Salvation Army instead---that is a first-class organization.

I can understand this ... Jews aren't Christians. So let them use the red Star of David, if they must. The Red Diamond (or Crystal) was developed because many countries (mainly Arab) were blocking the Star of David. Muslim countries get to use a Red Crescent, BTW.
Iran maintains a right to use a Red Lion with Sun, though they haven't since the Shah was overthrown.

Honestly I think the Arabs won't care....they'll blow up an ambulance just as quickly as they'll blow up an Army jeep (or a school bus)...
