Prayers. A c-section isn't the end of the world. All that matters is a healthy baby and mom. =)

Godspeed! Babies are blessings from God -- a kind of prayer of their own.

Our son was over 10 pounds and was delivered natural. You can always try it and have a c-section if the baby becomes stressed. Good luck, prayers sent.

Good luck. Take the epidural and the C-section (skip the episotomy). Of course you'll want the eppi earlier for each subsequent child. By the time we wanted a third kid, the ex wife wanted it at conception. ;-)

Stay strong, but be willing to do anything it takes to birth a healthy baby. God gave us Physicians for a good reason.
May God bless you and yours..sw

Prayer to St. Anthony for the Health of an Expectant Mother & Unborn Child.
Glorious St. Anthony, you were blessed to hold the Infant Jesus in your arms.
I come to you now on behalf of CaPagrl who pleads for the health and safety of the child that God has graced her to conceive.
St. Anthony, guard this life God has created, and the mother God has chosen for this child. Let your gentle hand, like that of a skilled physician, aid in her delivery so that this baby will know good health and lasting happiness.
May her child be favored with the grace of holy baptism, and grow to love our Lord Jesus Christ above all else in this world.
Amen.

Prayers aloft!
If you talk to CaPagrl, tell her that it's fine to have a trial of labor, but don't resist a C if it's necessary.
It's true that our bodies generally were designed to deliver the little rascals, but occasionally a problem crops up, and that's what modern medicine is FOR. Maternal mortality with proper care has fallen almost to zero in the last 50 years, and there's a reason for that.
I went natural with no drugs because I had a VERY rapid labor with a very tall but very skinny baby - 6 lbs but 22 inches - but if she had been a short chunky ten pounder and trouble had developed, I would have CHEERFULLY opted for the C. As my labor coach said, healthy baby and healthy mommy are the goals, how you get there is a lot less important.

I pray that the birth is swift, painless and joyful for all involved. May Logan bless you, as your love for him has blessed all of us.
