I remember this from about 30 years ago, and the details are sketchy. Maybe someone here will know more about than I:

Sometime in the 1970s, some middle east terror outfit captured a Soviet operative or diplomat and attempted to hold him for ransom and demanded the Soviets pay up.

A few days later, the Soviets sent the terrorists a package with a picture of a known member of the terror outfit, along with a portion of his finger and a note saying that they would send another package every day or so, with additional body parts, unless the Soviet captive was released. A few days later, he was back in Russia.

It used to be. I offer as evidence the 95% to 99% death rate for Japanese defenders during the WW2. After the Goettge Patrol incident on Guadelcanal, the chances of a Japanese making it to POW status dwindled dramatically.

Maybe this will be the "unofficial" trigger that will change this from a PC "war" to a WAR, one that means Winners and the dead, and no agonizing, no pity, no remorse about the latter. The US military is quite able to play hardball.

I sure hope we find their torturers? how about the American public who don't stand behind our Commander in chief? how about liberals saying we cannot win this war? How about shutting down Congress and the Senate until this is done? Stop arguing about pulling out and let these men do their jobs! Who is going to stand up? Who is going to say we want this done and we want to rain the fire of the US military on these people so hard they won't want to see a picture of a weapon in fear of retribution?

Right now the Iraqis are scared to death of the insurgents. You want to win this war, we win it the hard way and the old fashioned way. WE instill the fear. We make them say they would rather give up the insurgents then face the wrath of the Americans. This is war. Men get tortured and for what? Stacking bodies on top of one another is NOT torture. The military will not release what these men went through because the libs will play it out and say it's our fault.

What do people not understand? because we are invading their lands they suddenly came up with the idea "down with America"? This has been going on for decades! These islamofascists need to be taught a lesson and that does not include winning the hearts and minds. they want to deal in fear and torture, well guess what, we can give it right back 100 times. You catch an insurgent, you do NOT put them i jail. You tie them up to th back of a Hummer and you pull them through Ramadi. Wanna play with the big boys, you better be able to take what you are handed.

Stop with this politically correct nonsense and start winning this war faster! Yes yes, these things happen in war. they would NOT happen if we took care of things the way they should be.

I am pissed right now. i am sitting here on the Syrian border and I have to hear about 2 of my own being tortured because partisan politics won't let us get the damn job done. Kerry is a traitor.
