The next time some ba***rd says we need to close Guantanamo Bay, we need to remind them that THESE are the sort of people that we're storing there.

And while it would be a terrible thing to do to the families, I think that the media SHOULD broadcast the details of what happened to these soldiers, and show pictures in great detail of what happened to them, in order to really demonstrate exactly what we're fighting against. It's woul be a horrible thing to do to the families, but it might just unite the country in this war. Of course, that's the last thing that the media and leftists in this country would ever want.

I'm amazed at how many people have forgotten what 9/11 was like.

I'm not... We all know how short the "memory span" of the public is, and don't forget how the media has done all it can to "sanitize" the events of September 11. How many times have we seen the photos of people leaping to their death from the towers. Or how many times have we seen body parts on the streets below. Frankly, I never saw either of these, except on the web. The MSM has NEVER shown the direct results of the attacks. And more importantly, they've NEVER mentioned that this could have been far worse. Had the planes struck at around 11:00am, or between 2:00 and 4:00pm, and had the towers come down immediately, a death toll greater than 50,000 would probably have been the final count. Even more had the subway and PATH tubes been flooded (which nearly happened).

Again, this is the sort of thing that would have whipped up anger and support for the war, and that's the last thing the media wants.
