Reported on Michelle Malkins site that one of the lessons learned is that you do not split a small force in these situations, especially when you know that capture means death. Either you all go or you all stay.

Yeap the squad leader who called in said that if the reports he heard are true, the squad leader made a mistake in splitting his forces.

He also said given the situation of what happens when you are captured by them, he doubts any soldier would allow themselves to be taken alive.

I heard a caller to Rush say that today as well...about splitting the force. He was a combat veteran of Vietnam. Shame they have to learn the lesson this way though. :(
