Oh, great!
Just when I get my esophageal ulceration healed up, you all are dangling those icy fruit juice and booze drinks in front of me.
I used to save pictures and recipes of tropical drinks thinking I'd lay out on the porch and sip my way through retirement.
Now I can't drink even coffee and tea, or eat chocolate, let alone alcohol. Boo-Hoo!!
So, the word for all the rest of you is "Drink now; you may not be able to later."
I am sorry to hear that will you never be able to eat or drink those things again even in moderation?
What do you drink apart from water?
I love your advice. Isn't it the truth? I was sitting with a man at a funeral (outdoors, a celebratory-party thingee), and he was almost weepy as he told me he and his wife scrimpted and saved all their lives, foregoing any extravagances, hoping to travel in their old-age. Now, he was older and had money, and she had died.
Moral - live life now.
Oh Patty, I am glad to hear you healed up. Do you have to stay away from acidic foods now? Don't know how I could live without my morning OJ. And alcohol? One margarita (light on the salt please) every couple weeks is all my head can take. Life has changed, eh?
