It appears that almost everyone (here) agrees that homosexuality is a disorder, but I would have thought that the important line of this article is:

"Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Jeremy M. Martin said the policy document is under review."

It looks as if they plan to change the policy, which would nullify the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. This would automatically removing the ban on self-proclaimed homosexuals in the forces.

Am I misreading this? Nobody else seems to have picked up on this.
