Once again this will result in most Americans expressing anger at the terororists while the media and Democrats express anger at Bush.
This will also allow the press to again portray our troops as DEAD FAILURES.
There was an article last week about reaction to his visit to Baghdad and how the troops received him (and many Iraqis were equally thrilled); it was quickly buried, of course.
And his concern for those wounded and for the families of those who have died is equally great. There was an article posted on FR Saturday or yesterday about his planned visit to a family in Washington state. The White House requested that they be prepared to spend 30-40 minutes alone with him and bring pictures of the family and deceased so that he can get to know them all better. For every death he grieves with their loved ones. And you can see the toll it is taking on him -- he is getting older before our eyes. The only other President that I know of who was so taken with the deaths of servicemen was Lincoln, who had to deal with the many tens of thousands of fighters dead in the Civil War. Legitimate historians will note that this President will be known for his deep caring and compassion for every man and woman who dies in the cause of freedom.
