CC Raadio is very good for AM radio. Damn good company too. I've had one for 5 yrs. I live in the mtns. and The CC used with the Selectatenna gets reception better than any other radio i've tried.

CC Radio Dittos, there are alot of good and bad radios out there. But, the CC Radio is best for talk radio. Especially distant talk radio stations, less fade. The CC is backed if you have a problem.
Another great radio is the refurbished Grundig Satellite 800, if you have the room, but AM performance not as good as CC.
Also, a good radio in the $100 or less range is the Sangean ATS 505, compact, good audio, and receives SSB & CW.
