WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- North Korea is believed to have completed fueling a long-range ballistic missile capable of hitting the United States, raising the likelihood that it will soon conduct a test launch, U.S. officials said on Sunday.
The United States plans to join Japan in a sharp response if the test goes forward. Washington warned Pyongyang against the test in a message passed on Friday through North Korean diplomats at the United Nations, but there w

IMO we ought to "ding" that 'dong as soon as it lifts off, and who cares if the Lefties howl?!

What do Freepers think the "harsh" American response will be if N. Korea launches it?
Maybe we will finally see what kind of "stuff" the
American people are made of?
We already know what most of the politicians are made
of!

Maybe we will finally see what kind of "stuff" the American people are made of? For the most part we really don't care. Personally I'ld like to see it shot down as soon as it leaves nk airspace, but we pretty much know it is just a test to decide if they can reach us, so we will just let them try, then we know and knowing is half the battle! Sorry.

August/September 1998 N.K. splashed a missile off the coast of Washington State ..... but the then occupant of the Oral Office didn't release that information to the press in fear the public would freak out.
NK didn't declare war against the U.S. then and they won't now either.
Why we didn't shove it up their a$$ses then is beyond all logic.

Dude, chill out.
"schmuck boy" = Kimmy.
as in, "Schmuck boy, sit down, color and STFU."
You said destroy the launch pad. I suggested expanding that circle.
Sorry for the confusion.

Encouraging the Japanese to go nuclear gives me the willies. You get the willies, but the Chinese government would crap it's pants if the Japanese went nuclear.

Alaska is too far for a hit, I think.

Alaska is the first place in reach. That's what they hit in '98.

Rep. Markey also said the North should return to the nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and the U.S. should make a nonaggression pact with the communist North.
Markey is an idiot. He is one of those moronic Democrats who probably supported the "nuclear freeze" with the Soviet Union.

Doves, such as Rep. Edward J. Markey, a Massachusetts Democrat and co-chairman of the Bipartisan Task Force on Nonproliferation, called for a peaceful settlement of the current confrontation, by offering food, energy and other humanitarian aid to the poverty-stricken country, while urging the North to give up its nuclear ambitions.
While Markey is giving food to North Korea, their government is rerouting that "aid" to feed their one million man army while the rest of their population continue to starve. In the meantime, North Korea continues its WMD program and missile program. Markey needs to get his head out of lilacs.
