My take was that he was constrained by two things, first having made more than 140 appearances on the tonite show he was too much a pro to step on her segment, and that the reason he was there, was to promote a mainstream, children's movie, with the potential to be a huge hit.
Really?? I almost felt a little sorry for him...he either was TOLD to be quiet, or, he figured this was not a fight he wanted any part of. Either way, he was quite unhappy, and did not take his eyes off the floor.
Although Carlin has been funny over the 35 or so years he's been doing his standup, his standard left liberal crap is tedious.
