Furthermore, I bitterly resent the suggestion that mistakes made during this war were mistakes of incompetence.

Having lived thru the second world war, Korea, VN, first Gulf War, etc. I find the very idea of a so called perfect execution of war to be insulting and demeaning to those who put their life on the line to fight the war.

We have fewer dead, more injured lives saved, more men and women enlisting.....despite the lies from the left that we can't recruit and we can't get re-enlistments.

We need someone to stand up and tell the truth. Not leave the lies out there as gospel.

 Me too.  Using a Lessons Learned to avoid future mistakes in operations is vastly different from blowing up a hut in the desert and and an aspirin factory then claiming it was a total success.
