The first sequence of events will be bill clinton on every morning news station, denying, decrying, and blaming it all on Bush. That's our first clue we are in deep kimchee.

1 a.m. EST Sunday is only the time that the North Korean government asked people to put out North Korean flags.

That comes up in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. In other words, it would be 2:00 p.m. local time in North Korea on Sunday.

It is later in the evening their time, that they are instructed to turn into the radio and TV broadcasts. Pyongyang usually has a 5:00 p.m. news show and a 7:00 p.m. news show. One can gather that something then might happen between now and 4 or 5 a.m. Eastern Time. But its anyone's guess as to what this big announcement is all about.

Missile Successfully Launched From Calif.

June 14, 2006, 9:15 AM EDT

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Air Force successfully tested an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile early Wednesday, officials said.

The missile was launched at 1:22 a.m. and traveled 4,800 miles in about 30 minutes before its three warheads struck targets at the Kwajalein Missile Range in the western chain of the Marshall Islands, according to a news release from Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The purpose of the launch was to test the weapon's effectiveness.

The Air Force has about 500 Minuteman weapons in Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota.

Did ya have to go and mention him?

Carter will be reminding us himself soon enough. There is no man drawing breath more convinced of his own decency and humility, no creature more anxious to ensure the everyone knows and acknowledges it.

Of course he'll blame Bush for the deterioration of the situation.

A president with spine and foresight could have solved this problem in 1993 and 1994. Unfortunately we were stuck with Clinton. He sent the preening Carter; Kim Il Sung laughed and made a total fool of him. And here we are 12 years later, just about to fall within range of North Korean nuclear weapon delivery systems perfected after Carter "solved" the problem and got his standing ovation from the assembled clowns in Oslo.

Which means the missile NK might launch will never reach our shores.

We hate to guess what sort of dreadful result would be brought about if the missile is actually test-fired. It was right for the Korea and U.S. government to express concern, urging the North to stop the preparation immediately.

I think the writer expresses concern that 6 party talks would be done with.

If the missile gets "intercepted" before it leaves North Korea, and while the populace is tuned to the broadcast, well now wouldn't that be grand!

I vote for that one easily.

I'm sure the dems. are all holed up right now, pecking out their response to this latest threat. That Bush planned, no doubt, to improve his sinking presidency. I hate these people. Especially in a time of crisis, when we are all too busy to laugh at them.

Instead, we will likely wait until we learn another painful lesson of history, because "no one expected" them to be crazy enough to attack us.

More I think because the puppet masters have set them up to help start WWIII more overtly at some point in time. And, they are playing the megalomaniac Kim like a piano.

Keeping tensions up in the mean time help manipulate the world's citizens and particularly the USA's leftist, Marxist idiots.

Too bad North Koreans aren't afforded the luxury of the Internet. I hope their power at least doesn't go off during the launch.

Anyone else care to take a shot at what the actual sequence of events will be?

Certainly...The great leader will be afraid to show his face on the 76 functional tv's in nk...the rocket will ignite at 1:25 est 25 min late then it will explode some time afterwards and US anaylists will be the only ones that will be able to study the data and wreckage.

They're going to launch a missle, we (or Japan) is going to intercept it, they're going to claim that their "satellite" was intercepted... and that we (or Japan) are the aggressors. oops, I'm getting a little carried away. You know how it is? You're imagination running wild of what could be is usually a lot worse than what really ends up happening.
