...[t]here's a link on the congressman's Web site documenting Murtha's leadership against the errancy of Bush's ''failed'' Iraq policies. It's titled, ''Jack's Stance on Iraq.'' Clicking on the link allows you to peruse no less than 14 of congressman Murtha's press releases, where he lists in detail everything that he finds wrong with the way George W. Bush and company are handling the war in Iraq. Murtha also lays out his own strategies, including the ''redeployment'' of America's troops, because, as the retired colonel stated on May 18, ''We have done everything we can do militarily in Iraq.''
The 15th release included with ''Jack's Stance on Iraq'' was posted on June 8. That was the day that U.S. forces, supporting the rise of the most advanced democratic government in the Arab world, used Iraqi intelligence to kill Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, al-Qaida's ''mastermind'' in Iraq. On that same day, Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki announced the new democracy's approval of three critical cabinet ministries: interior, defense, and national security. And on that same day, Iraq's government ''of the people'' began dozens of raids on terrorist hideouts...
While Rep. Murtha hasn't abandoned his call for ''redeployment'' out of Iraq, the retired colonel seems to be eating some well- deserved humble pie. In Iraq, America's military people have shown there's plenty more they ''can do.'' On June 8, what Prime Minister al-Maliki calls the Iraqi ''thirst for liberty'' crossed a threshold much like the Battle of Gettysburg was in America's own Civil War. Iraq's June 8 is a turning point where Americans, along with the citizens of Iraq, can be truly thankful that the tenacity of America's Commander in Chief never swayed to defeatist campaigns of the likes of Congressman ''Jack'' Murtha...

They need to take Jack Murtha and dump im in the Sunni Triangle. Let his "friends' take care of him.
That ain't gonna happen. So let's concentrate on stuff we can control... like throwing his despicable derriere onto the street in November!
Well, I am going to contribute. The RNC keeps bugging me, but I will reserve my few bucks for Irey's campaign.
Good piece by Hoffman. He nailed it when he alluded to the death of Zarq taking a lot of wind out of Murtha's sails on his hair brained Iraq redeployment.
As more of the Marine's side of the story comes out, I think he get a lot quieter on his assassination of them too.
Support Diana Irey, http://www.irey.com/
I think Irey can beat this dirtball.
Good. Thanks for the support.
So do I. She doesn't need to match Murtha's fundraising, but she does need enough $$$ to get her message out.
She needs to do TONS of doorbelling too. I hope she has comfortable shoes.
I hope Murtha is directly challenged by one of the Marine lawyers on a news show. It'd be the best way to defend our brave Marines and puncture that windbag.

Yes it did. But despite the admission, the Times felt very comfortable framing these guys. Grrrrr.
Murtha also lays out his own strategies
Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is a strategy?
That would be $100,000. Not nearly enough to bury an incumbent. But 2,000 people sending $200 would be $400,000, which is not enough to bury but gives her a fighting chance.
She was out doing that today, from what I heard. :-)
Who knows what the exact amount should be? But keep in mind this particular incumbent has been kind enough to grab a shovel and start the hole himself. We just need to help Diana raise enough for several more shovels, a classy headstone (politically speaking, of course), and a nice bouquet of flowers. Not that the EX-Marine deserves 'em, but it would be a nice touch.
I just read the entire column and it is FANTASTIC! Please read it, it is a must read for everyone.
