The left-leaning Newsweek magazine lied about what she wrote in her book, an indignant Ann Coulter said during an appearance on Thursday night's Hannity & Colmes show on Fox News Channel.
"I'm sitting in a Fox studio in L.A.," Coulter said. "I don't know why there's a copy of Newsweek here rather than Human Events. Here is Newsweek describing Ann Coulter as saying '9/11 widows enjoyed their [husbands'] deaths.' That is simply a lie . . . That is a lie. If you can't deal with the facts and you refuse to say what the argument is, I think that's a total lack of confidence in your position and it certainly shows a complete lack of understanding [that] Americans can find out the truth these days - that it's not the mainstream media monopoly it was 10 years ago."

'9/11 widows enjoyed their [husbands'] deaths
They imply ALL 9/11 widows vs. the 4 NJ widows. Just another Newsweek deception.
Her personal observation when she said, I've never seen people enjoying their husband's deaths so much."
Hmm, thanks for that irrelevant diversion. Now back to the topic on hand.
Where's the lie?
Read the preceding sentence prior the "enjoying their husbands deaths" part -
These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzies.
Are these widows not somehow benefitting from their husband's deaths? Ann makes a valid point here.
The Coulter attackers are honing
in on ONE SENTENCE, entirely dismissing
the preceding sentences of the paragraph,
which is the meat of the chapter. But
then, the MSM do this all the time!
"I've never seen people enjoying their
husband's deaths so much" is the
summation of the paragraph. Now, you
may disagree with her that these women
are posing as poster gals for the DNC.
But Coulter is correct when she says
they are not only cleaning up financially,
they ARE ENJOYING a You-Can't-Touch-Me status
because of their widowhood. Her point is,
they weren't the ONLY widows involved in 9/11.
Like Cindy Sheehan, they get a pass at saying
anything they damn well please for the DNC, or
should we say in their case, what the DNC pays
them to say. Does anyone in their right mind
think Cindy Sheehan had the money to travel
all over the country and down to South Amerlca?
Like the Jersey Gals, she was financed. THAT
puts all of them in a Spokesman class, and their
statements open for debate. Coulter is not
denying they have a right to speak their minds
about security, etc.; just that they don't
have the right to expect to be "above the fray"
of criticism like the others making political
statements.
Wrong, as with many english words, enjoy does have various meanings. I'm guessing it's unlikely that you got an 800 on your verbal SAT test.
What's sad is that the little "jersey girls" jab is receiving all the fuss and attention while the rest of the excellent book, filled with more damning, important truths about liberals, goes unnoticed.
No.
The lie is "911 widows", vs "Jersey girls". It's not rocket science.
Reading comprehension 101 vs agenda criticism.
Do you have any idea how many 911 widows were created on 911?
Hint: it was more than four.
You know, that's an amazing coincidence because I actually did. :-D
Another day, another Coulter thread for the Chamberlain wing of FR to crawl out of their rocks and get their licks in at Ann.
In order to do so you must be capable of understanding the concept of "context".
I doubt you have the intellectual 3rd grade horsepower.
I see Ann Coulter managed to trick you by her own misuse of context.
A sloppy headline does not make a lie, although it can certainly be a good excuse for hysteria.
No, the lie was they implied she said ALL 9/11 widows enjoyed their husbands death. This lie has been splashed all over the media in an attempt to make Ann look like a real jerk. What she said was 4 specific widows seemed to enjoy their husbands death. She was dead on, and still is, about the jersy cow witches, er, widows. She praised the other widows and wondered why the other widows were not feted, praised and splashed all over the media. Try reading more and soon you will obtain the skill to understand what you read, it isn't hard, really!
If you reach that level of skill you won't have people like me thinking you are an idiot or a liberal!
The point is that the article in Newsweek (intentionally) can be interpreted no other way. Daft must be common. Simple English is also quite common.
