The Marine Corps is taking a lot of heat on this from several sources. The logic, and I'm a former Marine, is quintessential Marine Corps. They throw these Marines in the brig and keep them shackled yet they give the Gitmo terrorist detainees white glove treatment. Yeah ... typical chicken shit Marine Corps logic.

I'm with you...was sitting here thinking the same thing myself. The Army is really no different, "over re-action is better than no action" seems to be the new military creed.
