Welcome to the Canteen Music Dedication!

We're here to provide entertainment for our Troops, Veterans, and their families!
To enjoy our dedication, you must have Flash installed on your computer. If you are interested in surfing or chatting while the jukeboxes are played, you can hold the CTRL key down while hitting the letter *N* on your keyboard. That should open a new window.

The Flash MP3 Player can be found here. Also, you will find out more about the man that created it. Thank you, Jeroen Wijering.

You must double click on the songs for many of the jukeboxes. Not all the music is appropriate for children. Please click with caution!

We welcome requests for our Troops via the thread, emailing us at musicrequests4u@gmail.com or by pinging laurenmarlowe on the thread!

We encourage everyone to support the artists and music that you hear in the Canteen, we have provided links for you on the left hand side.

The Moving experience went well, no major problems and had the Sister-in-Law pretty much squared away Saturday evening.

Gosh, yes almost as bad as meeting your demise while appreciating marital bliss before getting out of bed with chest pains!!! LoL!

Connie, I think you were asking about conch fritters in another thread (I know, I'm behind) ... if you get the chance, try them. They're delicious. They chop conch finely -- it tastes a lot like abalone -- and mix it into a dough along with finely chopped onions, green and red peppers and seasoning, then deep fry them quickly. I think they usually use a beer batter because they're not really heavy like hush puppies. They're best served with a key lime mustard sauce, although some people prefer marinara sauce.

Getting hungry just thinking about them :-)

JJ had a request a couple of weeks ago for some tunes from the new Tres Chicas CD, "Bloom, Red, and The Ordinary Girl", and it had been eluding me, LOL!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

*HUGS*

Of course, is there any good way to meet your demise when you are still young enough to enjoy life? Doing so when you should be enjoying your newly acquired marital bliss would not be my favorite way either.
