While those 42 "brave Democrats" did in fact do the right thing and perhaps should be commeneded for at least that much, it appears that the vast majority of the 42 (just by pure coincidence, I'm sure) happen to be facing tough re-election fights.

They're probably up for re-election, which is VERY telling: they know that despite the alleged "polls" showing decreased support for the war on terror, the American people are behind it and want it to succeed.
