Atlant Did Not Carry Five Muslims

Egyptian newspaper Akbar El-Hawadeth reported yesterday on the incident with Russian citizens in Sharm El Sheikh airport. Captain of IL-86 aircraft of Atlant-Soyuz company asked five Muslim passengers, 3 women in hijabs and 2 men, to leave the board before the plane took off. The captain acted so according to the demands of other passengers. Atlant-Soyuz stated the pilot’s actions are absolutely justified. Representatives of Muslim community say they “treat such episodes with understanding.” The captain of IL-86 aircraft flying to Moscow from Sharm El Sheikh asked five passengers who caused other passengers’ suspicions to leave the aircraft. The five Muslims were retained at the airport for a complete security check. IL-86 was checked by policemen with specially trained dogs, and took off 50 minutes later. The five Muslims flew to Russia a day later, and the women were asked not to wear hijabs during the flight.

Russia is wary of them, "wonder" why, Beslan-children-massacre backlash? Global Jihad VS non Muslim world or VS not-Muslim-enough world, anyone?

I see no problem with the aircraft Captains decision. My understanding, at least here in America is that the aircraft commander has the final say over who can and cannot fly on his aircraft.

"She added that it is important to educate people on the subject, and to explain that clothes, behavior, lifestyle should not create basis for discrimination".

If that's the case, maybe the Muslims could stop killing infidels. That might just help their image problems.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Yeah right. If a United pilot tried this, holy hell would break loose. It would be front page news, and the pilot would never fly for an American carrier again.

I guess the Russians are ahead of us on this one.

Of course it was legitimate, especially that it caused a roar, I believe it was not just "bigotry" but passengers being seriously uncomfortable to sit the entire flight with open nervous watching eyes (even if they didn't get a chance to see "flight-93"), what kind of an "enjoy the ride" could that be like?

"Where's CAIR?"

Counsel for American Islamic Relations?
It would have to be a Russian equivalent, CRIR?
CAIR is in American, and most likely fuming over this. The bomb belts are being readied.

It's about time for the West to outlaw this nonsense of routinely wearing masks in public.

Spokeswoman for Russian Muslim community said Muslims treat such situations with understanding, for such cases are the result of stereotyped view of Muslims clad in national clothes as evil makers.

Could it maybe also be the result of the Muslim women who blew up two Russian airliners simultaneously last year? Or the Muslims who took a school hostage and murdered children?

At least their spokeswoman treats it with "understanding". If a captain of an American airliner did this, he would be treated with lawsuits.

What's different about Islamophobia than "general pure racism" that there are so many ( http://thereligionofpeace.com ) serious LEGITIMATE reasons (global victims) behind anti-Islamism.

I guess the non-muzzie passengers didn't want to blow up or be beheaded. How closed minded of them.

I quite agree that it would cause an uproar but I am equally sure that if the Captain of the aircraft believes that a passenger or group of passengers presents a danger to the aircraft and the passengers for which he is responsible, he is well within his legal right to have them deplaned.
