House Democrats, determined to make an election-year point about ethics, voted 99-58 Thursday night to strip Rep. William Jefferson of his committee assignment while a federal bribery investigation runs its course.The rank and file acted despite a last-minute plea by the embattled Louisiana lawmaker and persistent complaints from the Congressional Black Caucus that there was neither rule nor precedent for the action.

Does it surprise anyone that a Democrat, caught with his hand in the cookie jar STILL proclaims his innocence and is FORCED by his party to give up his seat of power, unlike Sen. Delay who was gracious eneough to do so without pissing and moaning. Democrats just don’t have that kind of decency.

Liberal Democrats are never, ever held accountable for their actions. Criminal and immoral behavior is condoned and excused when commited by any of the members of the Democratic party, but if perpetrated by a conservative Republican, it is then that the liberals declare war against criminal and corrupt conduct.

Senator Tom Delay (R-TX) has been tried, sentenced and executed by the Liberal Democrat leadership and their willing partners in crime, the mainstream media.

The biggest blow to the Party of Felons came with the announcment that Karl Rove, the mastermind behind the defeat of that idiot Sen. John Kerry’s Presidential aspirations would NOT be indicted for any criminal misconduct.

I am sure that they aren't making a point about ethics; they are merely going with their internal polls that tell them they need to throw William Jefferson, Democrat Louisiana, overboard to the alligators in the Bayou. It's that simple.

Isn't it special the way the Dems are carrying on about how they are so unlike the Republicans and will not tolerate this lack of ethics? Jefferson was going down and they knew it - trying at this late date to wash their hands of him isn't going to change a thing. You gotta love that their "ethics" issue may end up dead in the water by the time the election gets here.
