It was amazing yesterday every time I thought I had all the photos and was about to collate to post another set went up, it was making me feel tired just to see another event.

In the end I had to go with it get dad to bed post what I had prepared and then do the picnic ones live on the dose.

Does anyone know if Jack Murtha was invited or attended this signing of the Miner Act? I'm just curious if he was invited and didn't attend? Maybe because he was blabbing about his "cut & run"? Someone should check.

Limiting the fighting to your own territory is a prescription for defeat.

&&&&

Even I, as a girl, knew that leaving Haiphong harbor off limits was a prescription for failure. You are right. There was no plan to "win" because of the threat of World War with the USSR, +/- China.

Hello!

Thanks as always for the great links.

RE: "It's All Bush's Fault" . . . I had to laugh a few weeks ago, when the American soccer team was playing and lost. The reporters just could not restrain themselves in saying, "Despite an encouraging phone call from the President, the soccer team could not pull off a win . . . " So even the soccer team losing is his fault--LOL!

Senator Byrd had 2 canes at the signing. He was standing to the left of the photo while the President addressed the gathering. Then when the President sat at the desk on the right side of the photo, he looked over and asked Senator Byrd to come stand by him and waited for him to get there before signing.

Its beyond me why the dems will never publically say anything polite much less nice about this president. He always treats them with respect and kindness.
