Crisis management experts are calling for the creation of a "United Nations army"-an international rapid reaction force that could be deployed within 48 hours to intervene in emergency situations around the globe.
Composed of up to 15,000 military, police and civilian staff, including medics, the proposed force would be recruited from professionals hired by the U.N. from many countries, and based at designated U.N. sites.

I count on the UN being anywhere there are children to be molested, worthless pukes
....brought to you by the same people who have succeeded so well with committing mass child rapes, preventing genocide, oil-for-food scandals, etc. etc. etc. Yeah, this is just the body to put in charge of a sizable worldwide "Rapid Reaction Force" of 50K well armed soldiers. YUP, pure genius.
A United Nations army....
LOL!
"The question of whether American military personnel should submit to the United Nations has caused a firestorm among advocates for a global governing system and supporters of American sovereignty. But if U.N. Secretary General Kofi A. Annan of Ghana gets his way, every major country will have a set of troops dedicated to the United Nations. ...
"New's case has direct impact on the United States' participation in such a military force, as it questions the constitutionality of U.S. soldiers subjecting themselves to the rule of a foreign authority -- a direct violation of the oath taken by all U.S. military personnel."
Please Don't Tease The Pansies -
Heavens no, willing, rich volunteer computer moguls.
It tickles me to try to imagine that simpering, mealy-mouthed Kofi Anan as commander-in-chief. He is an imposter as an executive, but comander-in-chief LOL!
Let me guess - the United States gets to fund, train, and equip this UN army but will have no say as far as command. That responsibility will fall under a Committee made of representatives from Cuba, Syria, Iran, and North Korea.
Thank you. I went "shopping" for a standard target to apply a blue helmet to and saw that one, it was perfect. I'm not sure how many twig on the hand position, though.
I remember telling a Republican pollster some years back I would never encourage my kid to serve in the U.S. military if he ever was in danger of being put in a position of having to serve as an enforcer for the U.N. Mafia. Not to speak of putting his life on the line cleaning up the messes of other nation's poor choices.
It reminds me of an email I recently received from a U.N. serf. See how these ideas are supported by the deluded, and believers in global governmentby force, for your own good, mind you.

Kofi Annan
Secretary General
UNITED NATIONS
New York
OPEN LETTER TO KOFI ANNAN
Dear Mr. Kofi Annan,
I am most proud of you serving as the Secretary General of the United Nations that just celebrated its 59th year of existence. Congratulations. I sincerely thank you for your leadership and moral integrity through what continues to be a critical era of world history.
Indeed, the United Nations was founded as an instrument of peace, human rights and development. I would like to suggest that in order for the UN to attain its goals: - a world without poverty, without industry for hostility, without crimes against humanity - it should be able to reach out over and above governments and be rightfully supported by ordinary men and women from all over the world. I am suggesting that we all become citizens of the United Nations. The much needed resources for the U.N. can be willingly provided by the citizens of the U.N. I believe the General Assembly can empower you as Secretary General to appoint a small committee to explore this possibility.
In HAS MAN A FUTURE, Bertrand Russell wrote: "Law is a farce unless there is power to enforce it, and power to enforce international law against great states is impossible while each possess vast armaments. Great states have, at present, the privilege of killing members of other States whenever they feel so disposed, though this liberty is disguised as the heroic privilege of dying in defense of what is right and just. Patriots always talk of dying for their country, and never of killing for their country."
Imagine 2 billion people supporting the UN with $10.00 each as annual citizenship dues of the UN. This would amount to $20 billion dollars a year. Enough I think for the UN to maintain not only its own Peace-Keeping Force, but to gradually expand to the point where the United Nations is in total control of all major weapons of war. It is hard to see any other way by which the human race can survive the weapons of mass extermination owned by an ever increasing number of countries. In the near future add another 2 billion people to make it 4 billion UN citizens, - $40 billions dollars a year. The UN would become the respected and effective enforcer of international law and an irresistible global force for peace and goodwill to all men and women and children. The protection of our natural world from unsustainable population growth could also be addressed. It is dramatic but true - The future of humankind is at stake.
We are in a new era of global community. We need a United Nations which has both the involvement and support of peoples throughout the world. We can make it come true if we, the ordinary men and women in our respective countries, can be made a legal part of the UN's ultimate goals. We have sufficient resources to provide our fellow citizens with adequate food, education and health care. We have the will to treat our brothers and sisters with dignity and self-respect. But this cannot be accomplished by, or entrusted to, a small group of nations representing the interests and prejudices of a small percentage of the human race; it can only be achieved by the super citizens of the United Nations functioning as a world government.
Yours Faithfully,

As the case slowly makes its way through the courts, Michael New will not back down. And he has the United States government in something of a quandary. If they let him off, then they'll have to let anyone off who refuses to serve the United Nations. If they hammer him, they have to admit in public that Americans are no longer free to serve their own country exclusively - an admission they do not want to make. No doubt, if he had it to do over again, Michael New would do the same thing. But the Army would also no doubt give him the transfer he requested in the first place.
Something for everyone to remember.
Thy are they wasting their time. The United Nations is just another League of Nations but with a different name in a different time.
I propose we declare war on it.
Color me an "insurgent" if that ever happens.
So...ummm...what exactly would they do? UN forces aren't that useful anywhere, right now. And if we need mercenaries, Blackwater and other corporations could probably do a much better job.
