I agree with all your points for the most part, and you are certainly entitled to your opinions. Which don't, by the way, contradict my statement that all polls are bogus and should not be used as the foundation of any argument. A point that I would guess you'd agree with.
I can accept what you say - you're right, polls are taken for a specific reason and that makes their validity suspect. Also, I guess that Senators are 'political animals' who seem to get to think they are part of the "exclusive and fabulous 100" and they know what's best for us because most of us are too stupid to keep up with truthful news and have short memories. I think not.
Congressmen, however, are more maleable and are more heavily influenced by constituent 'plaints.
