There are people in my office that think the memo is a fraud because of the language and style. I guess it didn't sound like a terrorist wrote it... they probably based this on their extensive knowledge & familiarity with terrorist memos.

Who has any doubt that the DUmocrats and Al Queda are on the same side? The DUmocrats were up in arms about the "wire tapping" program because they were afraid their daily DNC talking point fax might be intercepted.

The DUmocrats are EXACTLY like the terrorist without the IED's.

Like I said, it doesn't even sound like a regular person wrote it, terrorist or not. It sounds like he has an MBA, which sounds totally impossible.

Bin Laden has a Civil Engineering degree from one of the best schools in Europe. Most of the upper leadership of Alqeda come from the ultra rich or upper classes of the Arab world. Most of them have far more, far better, education then most Americans.

Most of the people in your office are less well educated then the bulk of the Terrorist leadership.

****Snip******

Text of a document discovered in terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's hideout.
... I don't think I've ever seen such a look of misery and dejection on the face of my daughter as I just did a moment ago. She just couldn't understand why the country was supporting free elections and democracy. "Can't John Kerry do anything about it?" she asked pitifully.

I sat down with her on the dirt floor and (as calmly as I could) tried to explain to her why Kerry wasn't able to help us. "Honey, John Kerry didn't win the election and now in the United States is supporting free elections and a democratic government. The only way we can save our people from democracy is to blow them up.”

I tried to keep my voice steady, but it became increasingly difficult - the rage and feelings of helplessness were just too much. I think my daughter could tell something was wrong. I found myself at such a loss for words - nothing made any sense; nothing makes sense anymore. I finally had to admit, "Honey, I just don't know - I don't know what's going on in this country anymore..."

When I finished her lower lip started to tremble and her eyes began to fill with tears, "Daddy" she said, "why are the Republicans doing this to the country?" Well, that was it for me: I finally fell apart. She just fell into my arms and we both began sobbing for several minutes.

*****Snip*****

That was a great post.

"What does DU have to say about this?"

I went over there looking for this, but couldn't find anything. I'm sure if I kept digging, it would turn up, but I just didn't feel like taking another shower today.

I read it as a quick translation.

The document discovered in Zarqawi’s safe house assessing operations in Iraq can be claimed as counterfeit by those with an agenda, if they assume only those with limited Wahhabi religious training join al Qaeda. The safer explanation assumes that others beside Osama bin Laden have engineering or other college degrees. The events of 9/11 were not the creation of third world primitives submitting to a single educated intellect, but portend exceptionally catastrophic murders by a generation of terrorists. One should assume they would abandon the trivial killing of hundreds to anticipate the incalculable deaths available in a world where chemicals and medical supplies can duplicate Hiroshima, where diseases that decimated Europe remain one step away in the food chain, and where cottage industries can produce deadly toxins and germs. Pretending sophistication obtained from a Western education would trump juvenile, junk religion ignores 12,000 S.S. terrorists Heinrich Himmler officered for Barbarossa with civilians including a pastor, physician, opera singer and numerous lawyers, mostly young professionals who first absorbed a Nazi philosophy at least as twisted as this heresy. If this document is genuine, there could be people a lot more lethal than Zarqawi in Iraq.

I like the point you made in your post that these terrorists with oil dollars have access to the finest educations available. The document discovered in Zarqawi’s safe house assessing operations in Iraq can appear counterfeit, if you assume only those with limited Wahhabi religious training join al Qaeda. The safer explanation assumes that others beside Osama bin Laden have engineering or other college degrees. The events of 9/11 were not the creation of third world primitives submitting to a single educated intellect, but portend exceptionally catastrophic murders by a generation of terrorists. If genuine this document would indicate folks a lot more lethal than Zarqawi in Iraq.

We have a friend in Murtha.
We must pin our hopes in getting a Democrat elected in the next election as President.
We may have Star Jones available as our new #2 with Rosie jointing The View.
Can we sell WMS on EBAY?

Going "All-In" on Iraq. They committed so many resources to Iraq, dragged them in from all over the Middle East and even diverted some from Europe. Now they're losing. They've lost tens of thousands and have nothing to show for it but another defeat.

That actually resembles former DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe's failed strategy in the past national elections. Florida and his attempt to defeat Jeb Bush and George W comes to mind.
