Be advised: Strong language.
Hadji Girl
I was out in the sands of Iraq,
and we were under attack,
and well, I didnt know where to go.
Then the first thing that I could see,
Was everybodys favorite Burger King,
So I threw open the door and I hit the floor.
Then suddenly to my surprise,
I looked up and I saw her eyes,
and I knew it was love at first site.
And she said, Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad,
Sherpa, Sherpa, Bakala,
Hadji girl, I cant understand what you say.
And she said, Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad,
Sherpa, Sherpa, Bakala,
Hadji girl, I love you anyway.
Then she said she wanted me to see,
She wanted me to go meet her family,
But I, well I couldnt figure out how to say no.
Because I dont speak Arabic, so
She took me down an old dirt trail,
And she pulled up to a side shanty.
And she threw open the door and I hit the floor,
Because her brother and her father shouted,
Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa, Sherpa Bakala
They pulled out their AKs so I could see,
And they said, Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa, Sherpa Bakala
So I grabbed her little sister and put her in front of me
and as the bullets began to fly, the blood sprayed from
between her eyes, and then I laughed maniacally.
And then I hid behind the TV,
And I locked and loaded my M-16
and I blew those little fuckers to eternity,
and I said, Durka Durka Mohammed Jihad
Sherpa, Sherpa Bakala
Shoulda known they were fucking with the Marines.
The human shield aspect of the song is the key source for this controversy, if instead of "her little sister" he grabbed another gun toting jihadi, then everything would be fine.
Now this Marine is going to be in a world of hurt because of one phrase.
Well, I guess it reveals the same thing about me then too, because I don't understand where you are coming from with that statement. Speaking as someone who has been over there, I find the song very funny. As far as the Marine using a civilian as cover, well I can't say I haven't done the same thing. When the shooting starts and you're out in the open, run behind a crowd of civilians until you can locate the shooter, then take him out. It may seem like a cold blooded thing to do, but Iraq is one place I had no intention of leaving my ghost to wander around. I didn't like being there for 14 months, I certainly didn't want to stay forever.
American GI's sang much naughtier songs during WW2.
No kidding. Back in the 1980s, when I flew B-52s for Strategic Air Command, WE all developed a pretty dark sense of humor about "nuculer" war, etc.
It's just about the ONLY way you can cope: you laugh at it. . .
But I guess the world is turning into a giant Lesbian Bookstore: "We HAVE no humor section". . . .
Damn, damn, damn the Filipinos!
Cut throat khakiac ladrones!
Underneath the starry flag,
Civilize them with a Krag,
And return us to our beloved home.
Excellent observation.
And this violence is self-defense and not aimed at police or "be-atches".
I'd definitely pay money for a copy on DVD.
And your comments show that you know absolutely NOTHING about the realities of war--or life.
Thank you for your service to your country and to the freedom of my family.
Good one.
The Islamofascists better hope they don't offend the dykes.
Let's see some side by side lyrics of something by Fifty Cent (that's fiddy cen for those who are fluent in the lingo).
You are most welcome. I've felt a sense of pride everytime I put my uniform on. Of course as the years have come and gone, I've started to realize that I don't have too many job skills that translate well into the civilian world. I guess I can always apply for work with Blackwater.
Well Said..
Therein lies the substance of what this song is..
It is a "teaching" song...
Don't let a pair of beautiful eyes bring your guard down..
Remember where you are and who the enemy is..
Trust through lust is one luxury you cannot afford..
I'm sure there are ( or will be ) other songs that relate some of the "mistakes" that can be made in a combat zone..
This is just one of them..
You said -- "So sorry, but that song only shows a lack of respect to human being, and lack of humanity from the person who wrote it."
Actually..., *war* itself is what shows the "lack of respect to human being". It appears the entire human race is engaged in this endeavor and has always been so doing, from the beginning of time (going back to Cain and Abel in the Garden of Eden).
Thus, we are *already in it*. To speak and write about it, after the fact and after the disrespect has already been shown for centuries -- and *especially so* from the evil Islamic terrorists and their *extreme disrespect* for human beings -- is really nothing more than speaking about *reality*. Nothing more and nothing less.
When Jesus Christ comes and sets up His Kingdom here on earth (i.e., as in the Lord's prayer "kingdom come...") -- that's when we will see this disrespect for human being extinguished.
Not until then, though...
