Lets be honest about what is taking place on the border, the President himself has said that this policy is only temporary (he is trying to appease the base and get us to think that the border is not an issue and that he is in point of fact "doing something" about the issue which is not the case long-term because HIS plan is amnesty for illegals. Secondly, the only reason why the President has taken this action on the border is because of the pressure we, his base have put on the administration directly because of HIS stand/policy on the border and illegal amnesty (which he is promoting, no matter how Tony Snow wants to spin it).
Yes, you are seeing "progress" in the area of Texas where the border has been strengthened with U.S. troops but all that means is the illegals have moved to another section of the border that is still porous.
