Carlin looked very strange. His hand was shaking a few times when he talked. I heard he went into rehab and I have not seen him in a while. He looked very tired and old last night. Ann was great.
I think he's just getting up there in years, and you know George has some hard miles on him.

I seem to recall he made several public appearances on the talk show circuit after 9-11 to make fun of the patriotic zeitgeist. I remeber one of his lines on some show or another at that time was "We are all walking around saying things like I need buy this diamond ring or that mattress or the terrorists have won!" (or something like that) It was pretty sick.
