Surgeon is held on weapons, sex charges

A Carmichael plastic surgeon was being held on sex and weapons charges Wednesday after police found an armor-penetrating rocket launcher, machine guns and dozens of other weapons in his sprawling ranch home. Dr. Scott Takasugi, known by neighbors for his lavish Halloween parties, dapper clothes and luxury car collection, was being investigated for sexual exploitation of patients when the cache was found. Click here for more... Federal and military investigators worked until dawn Wednesday assessing and hauling out weapons. Among them were a live a shoulder-fired battlefield weapon called a "LAW Rocket," along with machine guns, guns equipped with laser sights or silencers and thousands of rounds of ammunition, said Sacramento Sheriff's Sgt. Judd Holiday. The assortment went far beyond a recreational gun collection, said Holiday, who supervises the county's bomb squad. "When you start keeping things that can cause death to a large number of people, that's a different story," he said. Sheriff's spokesman R.L. Davis said most officers would go an entire career without seeing such a heavy-duty military weapon. The doctor's attorney, John Panneton, declined to discuss the collection, saying only "my client has a presumption of innocence. He intends to plead not guilty to the charges, and he vigorously will defend himself." Holiday said he saw nothing in the house to suggest that Takasugi had plans to use the items against anyone, although the investigation is ongoing. Takasugi, 53, was arrested on 11 sex and weapon counts, including suspicion of sexual exploitation by a physician, penetration by a foreign object, unauthorized possession of a machine gun and possession of a destructive device, said Davis.

According to local news reports, this was an awesome neighbor who was very friendly, professional - and threw great block parties.

I live 1.79 miles away from this guy.

So, is Babs finally getting her nose bobbed? He may just need the extra firepower.

Who were his patients? Maybe they needed all the help they could get.

I'd bet the LAW was a non-firing replica and the cops and MSM screwed up the story.

The news report said they evacuated the block because they had to disarm the loaded LAW. The accused claims to be a Federal firearms dealer. There was also a dud hand grenade and fake bomb with wires to a wind-up alarm clock. ..Also, his recently ex-girlfriend works in law enforcement.

Don't be ridiculous. Sheesh. You don't hunt deer with a LAW!!

For DEER HUNTING, a 12-Pound MOUNTAIN HOWITZER is what you use:

First, load your howitzer with a 148-musket ball load (individual balls should be the size of a shotgun slug).

Second, wait for deer to come along. PROPER DISTANCE IS KEY TO MEAT RECOVERY.

Third, fire the howizter:

And, the lovely results:

WARNING: In order to preserve a useful amount of meat, do NOT shoot deer at a distance of less than 100 yards (or one football field away). This nice 8-point buck was taken at 120 yards.

For more info in the proper use of YOUR mountain howitzer for deer hunting, visit: http://www.buckstix.com/howitzer.htm

Really? They have never seen one before - how did they know?

Anyway, to disarm it, they should have just shot it off. Safer that way, I'd bet.

armor-penetrating rocket launcher

That's kinda redundant, no?

Either that - or an oxymoron.

I was thinking about your original post - the load could have been a replica, along with the LAW.

My only question is where do I get that armor that protects you from non-armor-penetrating rockets. =)
