I am posting this article because very few people know that the Catholic Church is going out of their way to make sure CIRA is the law of the land. The church has supported illegal immigration for many years and they have been active in getting CIRA passed. I also publishing this article in the hopes that the many Catholics who support the House of Representatives would know what their church is doing on the illegal immigration issue in the United States. I really do not think that Roman Catholics know the churches position on this matter.I know that there are many Catholics out there who support the "borders enforcement only" approach, not the approach the pro-illegal immigrant. approach our leaders has taken.
I do the best I can........thanks! :-)
The supposed Paine "tact" is ancient tinfoil; so ridiculous ( Druid practices? ROTFLOL! ), that I am having a difficult time of it refraining from hoots of laughter!
Hey, ugly...take a look at the link and then call out the troops. This one is a real stinker! Oh yes, *giggle*, the Masons, *giggle*, are really part Druid priests, *snicker*, who ....*guffaw*.....worship the sun and *ROTFLMAOPIMP*, Thomas Paine said so, so it must be "true".
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha
Is this a new religious doctrine or something?
What long winded crap from people who think each word is weapon. Lots of time on their hands it seems
As I said to you in other threads, if you cant do the time, dont to the criome, and sorry, the children of illegals parents comitted a crime by coming to the US illegally. If "people" like you want to make life better for Mexicans, then deal with the white elite class in Mexico that opresses the poor there, and also elimiate the ag portions of NAFTA that put impacted the peasants of Mexico greatly and caused illegal immigration to explode.
I grew up in California and saw how the onece golden state decayed into a 3rd world hell hole, and I am seeing it happen to the US as a whole. And lastly, if you have the very mistaken idea that illegals, once they get the vote, will make the uS more conservative socially, then you obviously ignore the voting patterns of California, and other states in the west such as Nevada and Colorado. This invasion has to be stopped, regaurdless of the short term economic costs , and we can not afford to be "nice" about it. If this invasion isint stopped, then the US will in effect no longer be the US, and "people" like you, the WSJ wing of the Republicans and the Knights of Columbus(an organization that I thankfully resigned from) crowd just do not get cold hard facts.
Perhaps you should address the "family court" system, which harms countless real American children everyday. Oh, and the Catholic Church has NEVER challenged the destruction of millions of families, many of them Catholic, by judges and their feminist masters. The Church wants to let illegal invaders in our country, but has never taken a stand on the travesty of child custody in almost every state in the union.
Oh, yes, it is truly an understanding religion that relegates divorced men and women (many of whom did not want the divorce, but were given no choice by the courts) to "the back of the bus" when it comes to receiving the sacrements, and then wants them to pay and wait years for an annulment (unless you're a Kennedy.)
I woke up and left a long time ago.
Catholics are still forbidden from joining the Masons, historical inaccuracies in the above post notwithstanding.
"Its beyond me why the rights and more importantly the well being of millions of American children is given no attention or dismissed"

That's an excellent point.
Here's a double travesty. Foreign women who get married to US citizen men, then after they get green card and have the baby, make a false allegation of abuse.
This false allegation give them custody and a child support payment, screws the man out of custody and money. Thanks to feminist-insired family law, the deck is stacked completely against them, and they are powerless to fight back unless they want to spend tens of thousands on lawyers.
Then the INS comes along and gives the woman amnesty (245(i))and instant citizenship. Why? well, she's 'battered'. get red carpet treatmnet, where they bring their own 'chain migration' of relatives along.
Now let's add the wrinkle that the women in question doesnt even obey immigration laws, but brings her parents over and lets them overstay a tourist visa, *while putting them up for green card status*. The INS doesnt care. Try calling in a report that an individual you know of is overstaying a visa. See how far you get.
These travesties are happening every day. Doubt me? I know of such a case personally.
The punchline: The woman in the case I know of, who entered into a false marriage, defrauded her husband, lied to investigators, got immigration status under false pretenses, and broke up a home where a young child now is impacted ... is a Catholic. Supposedly.
American Bishops again show that they are out of touch. American Bishops are a real problem for American Catholics. I have very little regard for their civic, financial or organisational policies.
Mega Bump
Its the bishops and the Cardnials too(ie:Roger Mahoney).
OTOH, can YOU cite any famous Catholic Masons who have been excommunicated and thusly been forbidden to be buried in holy ground? So you don't have to scurry around, looking for Catholics, who were Masons, I'll give you a little list......
Andre Roux, Charles Robert Richet, Jacques Etienne Montgolfier,Giuseppe Mazzini, Lajos Kossuth,Giuseppe Garibaldi, and Simon Bolivar.
Bump
I'm not going to argue with you about Masons.
The US Bishops do NOT support unrestricted illegal immigration. You've lied about that, about their motivation being liberation theology, and about what they actually have said about immigration.
I recommend that those who are interested in what the bishops actually have to say, go to the link I gave in a previous post. You simply can't tell the truth about the matter.
Sure. They made up that policy paper.
And that paper was found on their site.
Give it up
I will not give it up. You act as if this position from the bishops is new. If you'll go back to 1985, they were advocating the same thing when the Reagan administration undertook immigration reform. There wasn't a peep out of anybody back then.
You lost
Be Gone.
