We spend our vacations touring historic sites all over the country. We'd certainly go to the Rolling Rock Brewery if it were a preserved historic building, and a tourist destination.

So any building that any person has on their vacation itinerary should be subsidized by the taxpayer?
I've nothing against preserving buildings, or any other structures. Just do it with private funds, this way it will also be Constitutionally copacetic.

A great deal of the time, historic sites are run with a combination of private donations, trusts/endowments and profits from visitors/gift shops.

Jim. I'll be donating to Irey. Just a suggestion. Call on all Freepers to send their check in with FR written somewhere on the face of the check to show future Congressman Irey how much her visit here means and to highlight FR's role in supporting candidates it believes in.

Murtha will never accept. Won't happen. He doesn't give a hoot about FR. Diana Irey should come on here by herself sometimes. No forum necessary. If it is good for Tony Snow and he could do it, it should be good for Diana.

I watched the video of your admonishment of Jack Murtha and was impressed and pleased by your poise and fortitude. You have a far away supporter in me. Take that strength into the lion's den which is Congress lately.

Sometimes I think we should bring back a certain tradition. It involved a warm material used to repair certain roadway and roofing shingles, accompanied by a cuddly downy material.

That might remind politicians that they are accountable for their actions.
