I have to say that I'm underwhelmed by Mr. Parker's decision to put his son's physical and emotional safety at risk to make a point about how terrific government schooling is. Frankly, it makes me wonder what's wrong with him.
He is fighting evil forces that attacked the most helpless member of his family - a seven year old boy.
Shame on you for blaming the Parker family in all of this.
I suppose your best "solution" is for that family to sell their house, abandon their life, and run away.
How about if we punish the school and the adults who have organized this persecution campaign against an innocent family whose only crime is not caving into perversion and indoctrination?
I'm very sorry to see this happen to Parker's son, but this is what I predicted here about a year ago when I said Parker had used his kids as pawns. Most here thought differently. But much of the story has been distorted on these Lexington threads, much more in Parker's favor than it really was. Unfortunately, it's always the children who pay.
What's wrong with him??? Did you even read the article? What's wrong with YOU???
I also wonder what is wrong with this father. To allow his son to continue one more day at this vicious school is unconscionable. And to let these first graders off the hook is stupid. They should have their butts warmed and required to write letters of apology to Jacob. Mr. Parker, get your son out of that school! And sue the school for injury and first amendment rights.
Lexington has a superb,albeit liberal,school system.
The property taxes in affluent Lexington are very high so Mr parker is tring to take advantage of the free education.
I'd move !
Exactly. He's putting his 7 year old kid on the front line of HIS battle with the school district, exposing him to the negative fallout.
Incredible.

Poor slob thinks he's in America.
He's trying to make a point that the school should be safe for EVERYONE, not just the 'pet social projects'. I wouldn't have kept my kid in there that long myself. The people in that school are nuts, but after all, this IS Massachusetts we're talking about. The land of "we're the professionals, don't try this at home".
1. Homeschool the kid.
2. Enroll him in karate classes.
If I was Parker, my child would have never spent another day within that *school*.
"I have to say that I'm underwhelmed by Mr. Parker's decision to put his son's physical and emotional safety at risk"
AMEN!
I was wondering the same thing. When it comes to my children's safety, i'm not patient and tolerant.
