Anybody else happen to catch Brian Williams and Tim Russert discussing the latest poll numbers on the war in Iraq? Russert claims that there is not much change in the numbers, noting that the poll numbers indicate only a 4 pt. increase (from 33% to 37%) when asked if the US will be be "successful" in Iraq. Russert then suggests that this increase is most likely a result of Zarqawi's death. The problem is that the poll in question was taken on June 6th. Tim must have forgot that Zarqawi wasn't killed until early on June 8th.
It's not "error" or "blatant misrepresentation of the facts" or "lying." It's "creative interpretation."
The MSM is not going to let facts get in the way of their preconceived ideas.

Russert is a total ass for not holding Kerry to his pledge to sign the form 180, this re-inforces that impression.

The specific question I referenced claimed that on April 6th the # was 33% and on June 6th the # was 37%. Either this question was unrelated to the poll taken between the 9th and 12th or the graphic that appeared on tonight's NBC Evening News was incorrect. I'm 100% sure (TIVO) that the dates were 04/06 and 06/06.

CBS poll was around the +6/7 pt range - I am sure this MSNBC/WSJ poll will have the same silly DEM weighted arrangement.
The reality is when the American public are given a clear choice....the majority will choose to stay in this fight and continue to take the fight to our enemies!
However NONE of these MSM polls are phrased as such (and then they are DEM weighted to boot!).
These polls are nothing be created news to attack GWB and the GOP with.
