Reporter Paul Wallsten, a leftist reporter, asked the president a question today during the press conference while keeping his sunglasses on.
The president commented on the sunglasses in this exchange:
Bush: You gonna ask your question with shades on?
Wallsten: Yes...
Bush: But there's no sun out here.
Wallsten: It depends on your perspective.
Bush: Touché.
Daily Kos nutjobs are claiming that Wallsten is blind. Unless it happened recently, I think the nutjobs are just making stuff up (again).
Wallsten is featured on the left of this picture:
George Washington would have frog marched him behind a barn.
We talked about how disrespectful this was during the press conference live thread today.
Daily Kos folks are saying the reporter is blind; I don't think so.
I suppose we're to be thankful he was clothed.
Nah, they wouldn't do that.
Would they?
I wouldn't have even called on the guy. What next? A baseball cap?
Immediate Press Release:
DailyKos to be renamed DailyTards
What an ass.
I curious where he got the "Press" credentials. Sure looks like Daily Kos is nothing but a DNC front group. Just a way to cheat on the CFR laws all the Democrats demanded and voted for
Maybe they are wearing their tinfoil hats again like they did over the weekend at that annual meeting C-Span showed.
My husband walked into the room while the television was showing that meeting and said, without even knowing who he was looking at, that it was the biggest group of the unwashed he'd seen since the 60's.
That clown's less professional than Jeff Gannon.
Can't win any elections, but MAN have they got us on the run in the childishness department.
If you google his name, he's been on Bush's case for a long while, especially the Rove story. He's a legitimate reporter and writes for the LA papers frequently, but Daily Kos folks must love him and now are just making stuff up to make the president look foolish for commenting on his sunglasses.
Wallsten: Yes...
Bush: But there's no sun out here.
I wish he had said: "First, some gentlemen with shades and wires in their ears are going to be asking you some questions."
The WH press corps gave conservative bloggers the bums rush but welcome the moonbats.
It must be a conspiracy. The guy on the right is leaning the same weird way like Oswald....
You have that right. Exactly. Much as I get disgusted with Republicans sometimes, I look at the Democrats and breath a sigh of relief I escaped their clutches when I left college.
ROFL! That would have been perfect.
A rude AND ugly SOB.
I used to be in the press corps at the White House. If we had reacted to President Reagan like that, the press office would have yanked our credentials.
