I'm sorry you find it so painful to hear that it is rude to smoke on airplanes where your fellow citizens are greatly bothered by your smoke yet have no way to step away from it. Go ahead and believe the world revolves around you.

Too bad for you there's not an official National Beadle.

How about that loser complaining about people having drinks next to him.

My main annoyance about the entire situation is the way the United flight attendants kept pushing the booze to keep to the minimum the complaints about the delay.

"...he is missing an important point. Smoking affects the air the rest of us breathe."

Small children in resturants or on airplanes affect the environment too.

At one time, the American Lung Association and the American Cancer Society would solicit money to conduct research and run anti-smoking ads. Now, they still solicit money but instead of doing research and running anti-smoking ads, they hire lobbyists to lobby the federal and state governments to spend taxpayer money on research and ant-smoking ads. Yes, we have come a long way!

And that's the sad part

If they spent just half the money they spend now pushing these silly smoking bans on research instead, who knows what better treatments and/or cures we might have had by now for the various forms of cancers.

I wonder if the Antis-smoking Gnatzies think or will think about that about when they or their relatives come down with cancer

Another example of Liberals being dangerous to your health

It's common courtesy to directly address the FReeper you're insulting.

Mears is anything but a loser.

You're either deliberately mischaracterizing her post or you have an embarrassing lack of reading comprehension.

Let's be real; there are some places that must ban smoking -- like hospitals

Why should a hospital ban smoking? Sure, there are some floors and wards where smoking would have to be banned, like any place where oxygen is in use (if you ever wonder why, watch what happens to a cigarette when exposed to pure oxygen... Just be sure to hold the cig well away from your body using tongs!), or around pulminary care units. Heck, even ban it from inside the hospital, as long as there are places where smoking is allowed, even a lounge with a separate ventilation system.

There are a number of hospitals I've seen where smoking is completely banned, except in the parking lots. There are no smoking signs posted at the sidewalks!

That's just a little ridiculous.

"But you are wrong to think a free market can work with a corrupt people,..."

A free market with corrupt people is infinitely less dangerous than a government with corrupt people.

I never thought he meant to write a documentary.....
But it sure looks that way, doesn't it?

"Do the scars still show?"

Oh, yeah. They'll tell you how deep they are, too.

"Do you have amnesia?"
That comes into effect when you want a real answer.

Thanks, Madame, for alerting me to the post referring to me as a loser. I hate to be talked about behind my back.

As for you,Doe Eyes,I'm a woman, not a "him", and I don't mind drinking,I mind the attendants pushing drinks at people, therefore creating drunks as seat mates for 10 hours.

Can't smoke but you can get drunk, courtesy of UAL.

Makes no sense to me.

I get ill from lack of fresh air.

Next time you feel faint, try eating some peanuts.
