There will be no frog marching of Karl Rove out of the White House. For months, there has been plenty of irresponsible speculation about an impending indictment of senior White House aide Karl Rove for his purported role in leaking the identity of Valerie Plame in an effort to "discredit" her husband, Ambassador Joe Wilson. In the wake of yesterday's announcement that Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has informed Mr. Rove that he will not be indicted, we know definitively the indictment scenario was a fantasy -- like virtually every other charge leveled by Mr. Wilson against the Bush administration in connection with reports that Iraq attempted to purchase uranium in Niger.

"Wilson can't afford to have his affairs -- particularly his African affairs -- exposed to the light of day under discovery, which they surely would be in a civil suit."
I agree. Wilson is tied up with Saudi-Arabian-supported think tanks, shady business deals in Africa and the Middle East, and far-left wing anti-war groups.

I'm still holding out hope that there may be. Fitzy's not done indicting people yet.
Uh uh. Mark my words, the Dinosaur Media will keep propping him up like the dead guy in Weekend at Bernie's.

Heheh, I think I will too. Same reason.
...and, for my money, he is the one that outed his wife.

GREGORY: It says something about the secrecy of the White House.
Oh good grief. It says something about how we don't want to get the President of the United States (and Tony Snow, I may add) killed. That's what it says. They never miss a chance to advance their action line, even if it doesn't fit the situation AT ALL.
