Likeability and Charisma
Neither did Mr. Charisma Gore or Mr. Likeability Kerry, but both of them came within a razor-thin margin of being President.
Gaffes
How many did Kerry get away with?
Her Polling Numbers Arent Very Good
Kerry was only the nominee by default, and he almost won the whole thing.
These may sound good to the Right, but after the Dem convention, whomever they nominate will start out with 80% of the party support, unless that nominee is a complete dufus.
If the GOP goes with a moderate, left of center, they are going to anger their base who will either go third party or go fishing that day. That will bode well for whomever the Dem candidate is.

"How many did Kerry get away with?"
He didn't.
His "I voted for..before voting against.." haunted him throughout the election campaign and was a big factor in his loss.
Even before the start of the campaign, Hitelry has already made too many gaffs. Her "The House of Reps is run like a plantain" jibe, particularly strikes me as somethimg that will come bite her deep in the butt.
"Kerry was only the nominee by default, and he almost won the whole thing."
Hanoi John was ahead in the polls most of 2004, and still lost.
Hitlery is has been behind Rudy and McCain since polling for 2008 begun, and MSM pols almost always over count RATS and undercount Republicans, so how does she propose to win then?
"These may sound good to the Right, but after the Dem convention, whomever they nominate will start out with 80% of the party support, unless that nominee is a complete dufus."
Republican nominee will start with an even higher percentage of Republican support, so what's you point here?
"If the GOP goes with a moderate, left of center, they are going to anger their base who will either go third party or go fishing that day. That will bode well for whomever the Dem candidate is"
Wishful thinking.
Not gonna happen.
