Hope you saw the President on C-Span, Jewels.
My husband and I were both in tears.
What a dear man we have to lead us. What a tender heart when it comes to his troops!

I sure understand your tears .. it breaks our hearts to see him targeted with so much venom .. such an extraordinarily good man. I don't think I've ever seen him so ... somber and melancholy .. it was remarkable. I've seen it twice and cried both times because he's so touched and looking out at those young faces who he knows have to go out into danger. It may have been fatigue .. Lord knows, it would've been understandable ... but he was tearing up a lot. I just pray it wasn't because of something he knows that we don't.
AND I just HOPE he got to shake the hands of the fighter jocks who dropped the Z-bomb .. hope hope hope... 'cause that would be a thrill for them AND him.
I also fantasized about him nonchalantly strolling by Sadaam's cell, and looking right at him for 3 or 4 secs. and walking away ... (I know, I'm weird ... ;)
