"The Jersey girls absolutetly enjoyed the deaths of their husbands. The problem is that many of you do not understand that there are TWO definitions of the word 'enjoy'."

Let's not take a page from the Clinton playbook and start applying new or secondary definitions to words that ordinarily have a clear meaning. Anne was very sloppy in how she made her point, and - unless she is not as smart as her fans say she is - she should have foreseen this controversy. On Hannity last week she was clearly spinning an interpretation on her comments that was NOT obvious in its original context.

You obviously didn't read the book. Her meaning was clear, and would be more so to many if they would just read the damn book. The statements surrounding the famous quotes make her intentions more than clear.

Well said, as always, Seattle. Since some of the more egregious statements have been all over every facet of the media, it's unlikely the kids haven't heard their dead fathers were going to divorce their mothers.

That's not compassionate, conservative or Christian. It's vicious.

The problem is Stevie boy that you can't PROVE they're not, or haven't, enjoyed the husbands death. Your blundering retort is as not provable by you. You have NO personal knowledge of their prior and current feeling for these four shlubs, and I would argue that you cannot accept their statement regarding their "undying love" as fact since these four skanks have been totally compromised by money, fame, and the media. Even if they hated these guys they couldn't say so since it would invalidate their VICTIM status!

May I suggest you save your incredible witticisms for the anti-American leftists who are intent on destroying our country. Coulter is on my side. The right side. I'm not sure which side you're on!

Coulter illuminated her "enjoyed the deaths of their husbands" observation with the rhetorical question about the state of the Jersey girls' marital condition. And further with the observation that the Jersey girls got their fame, and sandbox reservation, because of their assumed bereavement of their loved ones, the immediate victims of 9/11. At least some of these girls may have been in an unhappy marriage - statistically speaking.

Instead of attacking the clearly wrongheaded logic of giving one who is in bereavement a significant voice in public policy on any issue merely because of the bereavement, Coulter questions the Jersey Girls' bereavement credentials - a more direct argument for the libs, it might even cause them to consider the proposition.

Back to the point. I think that the 2nd meaning of "enjoy" is in line with other remarks she has made about the Jersey girls. I never heard her say that they were singing and dancing on their husband's graves, or laughing it up with Jay Leno. Personally, I think Coulter used it as a double-entendre, to get the maximum goose.
