I have no inside knowledge of what happened in Haditha, of course, but I can examine media stories for sourcing and quality of reporting. When the reports in Time Magazine and others are subjected to close scrutiny, there is much less solid evidence than one would expect a major media enterprise would require before making sensational charges against our military in wartime. All the more reason to presume the Marines’ innocence until proven guilty, and to read with suspicion reports that condemn Kilo Company’s actions in Haditha.

The "story" continues to unravel. This will be bigger than the Mary Mapes fiasco. I am sure the MSM will still insist that the story is basically true even if its not true here. Because they want to believe our Marines would do this!It is despicable behavior on their part.

When the media rushes in to a town where people have fired upon our troops and set up IEDs and then sit in wait to fire them off.... and they interview people who CLAIM to be civilians but hang out with insurgents...
What kind of story can we expect.
John Murtha should be tried for making this story public. It should have been dealt with by the military justice system with oversight by Congressional leaders IN SECRET.
Bringing it to the public domain was a violation of his oath of office, broke security, and endangers our troops.
Feldman asks many of the questions that MSM reporters should have asked before they treated this incident as an all-but-proven massacre by our Marines. The MSM is in the grip of what occultists call an "egregore," a Group Mind, that obstructs normal rational processes and gives an irrestible emotional attraction to false information.
I caught a snatch of a Michael Savage show in which he was interviewing the father of one of the Marines. He said his son, and others, were being held in shackles. If true, this in itself is an atrocity by our own government.
It's always perplexed me that the MSM took these photos as "proof" of anything whatsoever, other than that people had been shot sometime, somewhere. It seemed unlikely that you could know anything with certainty from unsourced photos in a country where life is cheap and where the insurgency will stop at nothing to create the impression of American atrocities.
You know MSM has never let anything like facts or truth dissuade them from continuing their attacks on America

Now that Karl Rove has been cleared in that manufactured Pflame/Wilson case, as I hoped and expected he would, perhaps he should turn his attention to making sure that the Left's further leak operations against the WOT...such as these on Haditha...get run down...and the perps, if any, get what's coming to them.

I thought I heard that the families of the "victims" are refusing all requests for exhumation for the purpose of gathering forensic evidence. Anybody know if there is truth to this?
