SO what kind of results could possibly get the US team out of group? Anything really?
It kills me they played so bad yesterday. Made me sad... :-(

I was distraught when I learned we lost 3 zip. I admit I did not expect the US to beat the Czechs, but I was expecting more of a 1-0 or 2-1 game. Now were going to play Italy, so I really don't expect us to get out of the 1st round :(
If the US gets knocked out, I am hoping for an England vrs. Germany final, with England as the victor, though I like the Germans nearly as much.
Do you guys think we'll make it out of round 1?

USA would have to win 3 of its remaing games to reach the quarterfinals. They may exit the World Cup early. As it stands, they can't even compete with the Czech Republic which isn't exactly a heavyweight football champion. I expect Italy to deliver us the coup d'grace.

Was it just me, or was the officiating in the ITA/GHA match horrendous? Specifically, two penalty kicks that Ghana should have been awarded late in the 2nd not being called -- with all of the controversy over the Italian league and match-fixing, did they really need a "favorable" ref in the first WC match?
