BOSTON A high-rise window washer in Boston has been fired because he killed a sea gull on the job.
Christopher Guay was washing windows at a building on Devonshire Street last Friday. He told WBZ Radio’s Carl Stevens he was being harassed by sea gulls.

I get your point, but this guy was a civilian and not a sailor, even though it was in a shipyard. I guess you could say it is also bad luck for civilians. :)

This is exactly the lunacy that turns people against animal rights whackos. I love animals, and I simply cannot stand to see them abused or treated cruelly when raising and slaughtering them for food, and I won't buy that meat. Only cowards abuse animals for entertainment, although I firmly believe in shooting animals for human and livestock protection. I support deer hunting, fowl, elk, etc., as long as the kill is eaten. In other words, killing to eat or protect is fine.
This guy was twelve stories up. He could have been injured at any time. I'm surprised he put up with the problem as long as he did. The MSPCA yo-yo needs to have his ass kicked. Let's hope the judge has better sense. This poor guy's employer is an idiot, too. I hope this poor guy gets a better paying job with the employer's fiercest competitor.
And I hope the person who called the cops in the first place gets bird shit in his/her hair and their car gets covered in it everytime s/he steps outside or washes the car for the next ten years. Jerk.

Crows are pretty heinous, too. I confess to having shot crows.........bagged 'em, took 'em for a midnight ride and dumped them in a ditch. The rest of the clan took up nesting elsewhere. They'd been dive-bombing the kids playing in the garden and crapping on my laundry on the line.

That's right, FELONY charges for killing a garden snake that was injuured.
It was okay to starve Terri to death, but you can go to jail for euthannizing an injured snake. Makes sense to me.

Reminds me when I was a lad, my bro and I were throwing a football down at the beach. Sure enough, a gull landed about 10 yards away, and my bro says, "watch this!" and chucks a tight spiral in the direction of the gull. Well, long and short of it, the gull wasn't a very good receiver!! Let's just say it was the LAST time that gull played football! (I tried to tell the darn gull he had to catch with his hands!)

Don't know. There are so many groups with their own little agendas it makes it impossible to live a life like a "free Americans". I think we keep repeating the lie of "free American" so often that we believe it.
The Greens, Animal Rights, abortion on demand, nanny stater's, ROP lier's and traitors, diversity is good, multicultural is good, open borders, hypenated-Americans... (add as many groups to the list as you want) have all framed the debate and underlying laws/regulations in this country and what we used to think were average Americans have been pushed to the side.
The brilliance of the left is that they have cobbled together so many ONE ISSUE voters that we are losing our country.
I bet if the window washer had been a lesbian, native-unamerican, with a medical challenge they would have just been given bird sensitivity training.
Remember back in 83' when Dave Winfield (Yankees) accidently killed the seagull with a warmup throw up in Toronto? The Canadian police locked him up on animal cruelty charges and forced him to pay $500 bond (the charges were later dropped).
The Big Unit killed a dove that flew in the path of his fastball back in Arizona a few years back..there is a video of that one out there.
