A discussion about protests by an anti-homosexual church at the funerals of fallen American soldiers turned into an astounding shoutfest on national television this weekend, with Fox News host Julie Banderas calling a fire-and-brimstone Christian preacher "the devil" and apparently condemning her to hell.
"You are the devil!" Banderas exclaimed to Shirley Phelps-Roper. "If you believe in the Bible, miss, you're going to hell!" Phelps-Roper: "You're proud. You're proud of your sins. You can't do enough sinning. You think 'gay' pride, bimbo. You have sinned away your day of grace."
Banderas: "OK, you are an abomination."
Phelps-Roper: "America is doomed. America is doomed. ... Before your eyes, missy, you're gonna see the destruction of America."

I wouldn't insult cults. They are just a band of lunatic nutcases that deserve any semblance of a church stripped away from them (if it hasn't been already).
Good Lord! Out of curiosity I took a look at the WBC website, and in no way are these nuts Christian. The website is vulgar. This is nothing more than a sick and twisted cult.

I couldn't believe that Banderas went after her like that, it should happen more often. It was a genuine fight.

Saw a couple of snippets yesterday morning on F&F.
Saw bits and pieces on Saturday morning on Fox 'n Friends....this idiot by the name of Phelps sounded like a cult-liberal and kept spewing her "religious" beliefs at Julie.....very, very ugly exchange from this long-haired hippy Phelps...Julie held her ground; but you could tell she was seething with anger at the way Phelps kept badgering our troops in the name of "God."
