I Want to join you all more than I can possibly say! If I could figure out a way to do just that with a 1 yr old, my 5 yr old and my husband, I will do it the weekend before my birthday, which will be the first weekend in August.
Can anyone give me some tips as to where to stay that will not break the bank? The airfare for 4, plus the hotel will be a LOT of money from Portland Oregon.
If I can find a way to swing it with out breaking our budget, I am SO there! It would be the BEST way to EVER possibly spend a birthday!
Thanks ya all!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I passed my written tesat for my motorcycle license yesterday. I get the bike tomorrow...Lord Willing. I have to wait two weeks before I can take the riding test. Once I take the test, I will be riding as long as I have money for gas. That means I will be at more of the rallies.

I got a hunch that Friday's Freepelation really helped send the Troops morale sky high and continued to sink the morale of CodePink lower than the Bismark.

We ALL got that SOB
Some grandmother somewhere in America works in a factory soldering wires to a harness that will connect to a little square box containing a little projection camera for an F-16 Heads Up Display.
A young man or woman a year removed from high school pulled pins from 500lb bombs on a hot desert tarmac.
Another kid in America works in a foundry pouring hot aluminum alloys which will eventually find its way to the compressor stage of the F-100 engine that will power an F-16 from a runway.
Someone in America sang in a church choir on Sunday, and on Monday was holding a rivet gun, helping build another warplane, which will help keep us free.
Some group of brave men in the darkness, shined a little laser beam against a building.
Some geeky American, known for his/her math skills wrote a little program that turns numbers into coordinates.
Some young American decided to become a pilot after watching the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels put on a show.
Some young American decided to join the Army and become a Special Operations Soldier that no one knows because his father and his father's father were in the Army.
Some American you or I will never meet, had an idea, which became GPS.
Some kid who last year was dancing at a Prom pulled the chocks.
Some kid wiped the canopy that a year ago was wiping car windshields in their summer job at the local car wash back home.
Someone working in a rubber factory had no idea that his or her work product was tucking itself into its bay as the pilot brought up the gear 20 ft off the deck.
Some little American girl who years ago was all about MTV and CDs gave a vector, cleared hot.
Some pilots did their job.
AMERICA got that SOB.
Every damn one of us.
All I can say is that before he died, I hope it hurt like hell.

Great report, Plea Deal! Some of the pix aren't coming up, but I went to your and Mrs. Trooprally's albums and looked at them all. Fabulous! I'm glad that you were able to catch well-known
Veteran For Peace Bullying, Kevin McCarron, going ape-crazy with my video camera.
We were all surprised and delighted when the College Republican kids arrived. The guys were lively, but the girls really got the passing cars to honk and cheer. And it truly was a treat to meet Mary Ann and her husband who had traveled so far to spend her birthday on the corner thanking the troops for their sacrifice. It was a great night!
To: PleaDeal
Mary*Ann and Jere, if you are reading this, it was nice meeting you and reminiscing about Ohio.
Thank you for baking those magnificent cookies for our Troops! I received a phone call from one of the soldiers 20 minutes after we left, he just returned to WR and there were no cookies left! I think they were waiting for us to leave before they devoured them. ;*)

An angry Kevin McCarron, a local chapter leader of "Veterans For Peace", has his widdle, widdle hand balled up in a fist in that photo. An advocate for peace that tells people violence never solves anything wouldn't sucker punch a woman who couldn't see it coming becuase she's looking through a viewfinder would he? Certainly a "Marine" like Kevin McCarron wouldn't hit a woman that way...it would go against everything he learned in basic training. Unfortunately, we always see the "girlie men" of Code Pink only get physical with women who are substatially shorter than themselves.
Amazing he was out in the rain with that bald spot and no hat. That's got to be cold.

Is that an opitcal illusion or photoshop of Gael or does she really have that protruding witch's chin? Notice the VFP guy with the "TEACH PEACE" button on his "This Was Kewl Back In The 60s" hat. He's mourning Al-Zarqawi's death with a black arm band. Do he and Bruce Wolf go shopping for clothes together. They have the same tastes. What a maroon.
