Los Angeles -- Imprisoned private investigator Anthony Pellicano, who is accused of eavesdropping on Hollywood's rich and famous, called the federal wiretapping case against him bogus and reiterated a promise that he would not testify against his former clients.
Pellicano, 62, spoke via phone to the Los Angeles Times for the first time since he was indicted by a grand jury in February. He has pleaded not guilty to more than 100 counts and is awaiting trial on charges of wiretapping such stars as Sylvester Stallone and paying two police officers to run names, including comedians Garry Shandling and Kevin Nealon, through a government database.
Fourteen people, including Pellicano, have been charged with various counts, including wire fraud and conspiracy. Six people have pleaded guilty, including "Die Hard" director John McTiernan for making false statements to an FBI agent and former Hollywood Records president Robert Pfeifer who admitted hiring Pellicano to wiretap the phone of his former girlfriend.
Pellicano has long maintained that he would never break the trust he shared with his former clients and employees, something that hasn't been lost on the entertainment and legal circles that hired Pellicano to dig up dirt on their adversaries.
"I am never going to besmirch a client or any other person that I gave my trust to or who gave their trust to me," Pellicano told the newspaper this past week from the federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles. "I'm never going to do that. I am going to be a man until I fall if, in fact, that happens."

hmmmmmmmm
Still no mention of his most famous (and most powerful) client. Evey one seems to be afraid of Arkancide.
ROFLOL - The Clintons taught him well... And now the chickens come home to roost!
The Pelican did lots and lots of dirty work for Hillary and the Democratic National Committee. FOr example he terrorized women accusing BJ Clinton of sexual harrassment.
It's funny how nobody ever seems to spill it all on the stand like they do in Perry Mason and Matlock. Who'da guessed that real life is different from Hollywood?
Obviously, not the residents of La-la land.
"Pellicano has long maintained that he would never break the trust he shared with his former clients and employees ..." Translation: 'Don't come after me, bill and hill, I would never rat on you regarding the strongarm threats to bill's sex victims.'
He'll walk, or at least not do hard time. Connections.
I had some business dealings (legal) with Pellicano and never found him unusual in any way other than his big ego which I attributed to his "Hollywood" background.
