SOLANA BEACH An annual fun-filled fiesta quickly turned into a fiasco Sunday when entertainer Hank Williams III spewed profanities from the stage and encouraged slam dancing that sheriff's deputies tried to stop for fear of massive injuries.
Yesterday, city officials were still recovering from the debacle, which happened at the end of the two-day Fiesta del Sol.

The Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce produces the annual fiesta that features live music, arts and crafts, children's rides and international food.

The singer, grandson of legendary country star Hank Williams, is known for his hard-driving songs and off-color language. He was paid $5,000 to perform and was a surprise headliner addition, Ott said.

Ott, who was at the event, said Hank III encouraged 40 to 50 fans to form a mosh pit in which dancers jostle and shove one another that deputies feared would lead to injuries. About 10 percent of the packed audience of 3,000 to 4,000 people were children, adding to the concern, Ott and organizers said.
When a security guard escorted a fan from the moshing hot spot and deputies confiscated cans of beer from the crowd, Hank III got angry and the crowd got agitated.
One of his singers jumped into the crowd and some in the crowd tried to jump onto the stage.
snip
Herzberg said yesterday in a telephone interview. This was one time for the fiesta to make an impact so our children can hear and see music.
I talked to his agent. He had assured me he would sing country music, Herzberg said. He put on a great show, but he used the 'f' word too much. He was trying to create a frenzy.

Isn't HW III going to be at both of Hannity's Freedom Concerts, in a few weeks?
No Hank Williams Jr. will be at the freedom concert. The article is about Hank the 3rd, Jr's son and you're right about the embarrassment part as if this were my son, I would be.

It dose matter to most moral adults, especially when it was billed as a family country and western concert.

Maybe Hank thought it was an official DNC rally.

No. It's his father, HANK WILLIAMS, JR., who's doing the Hannity concert. Indeed. Thanks!
As if Hannity would hire this punk. They'd have to hire the Nuge to then come running out of backstage and whack him over the head with a stars and stripes guitar ..... to a roar of applause.

Sinbad, that's who. Saw him in Vegas. So funny, my sides hurt, & not ONE bad word - not ONE risque joke. True comedy! Many do. In fact, profanity only "adds" to humor in very rare cases. Robin Williams does a good job of it insofar as one can "do a good job" with profanity. LOL
Brian Regan is one of the funniest comedians you'll ever see, and he doesn't utter anything even resembling a profane word.

Hank 3rd has two bands, with the same musicians. A good friend, who records live shows as a hobby, saw his act a couple of years ago. He opened with his hardcore band,
'Assjack', then took a break and returned with the same musicians for his country set. This story doesn't surprise me.

Comment:
Did you really mean a funeral for a high level Dim?
Usually Dims turn funerals into rallies.

No. It's his father, HANK WILLIAMS, JR., who's doing the Hannity concert. I'd wager that's who these folks thought they hired.

So are you saying that Hank 3 doesn't have enough common sense, nor intelligence or respect for family values to put a cork in his vulgar mouth to please the family members of his audience.
Hank 3 knew before he accepted the gig that this was billed by the festival as a family concert.
Of course in this day and age there are lots of parents who could care less what their children hear much less say.
Like Rodney Dangerfield, who got no respect, parents with children get no respect especially from from the Godless liberal left.
Thats what separates true conservatives from liberals such as the ACLU.

It is really the job of the folks doing the hiring to know what they are buying. Hank III doesn't have a PG version of his show.

I believe the article mentions that the ignorant guy who hired this odious heathen is under consideration for termination.

Well, if you like great country music, you really should check him out. Here are some images from his website.

For both concerts, east and west. I never heard them mention Hank III, at all.
