CAIRO, Egypt -- The death of Jordanian Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, whose bloody campaign of beheadings and suicide bombings made him Iraq's most-wanted terrorist, provoked joy tempered with caution from Iraqis on Thursday. Many in the embattled capital of Baghdad, and around the world, view his death as a symbolic and psychological blow against al-Qaida in Iraq. Even so, many Iraqis expect the violence in Iraq to continue.
"I am really very happy," said Salam Jihad, an Iraqi journalist. "He killed so many of my people here in Iraq, but he is not the last one of these mujahideen (holy warriors)."

you know when you think about it, Murtha deciding to seek democratic leadership is pretty bad for the democrats as well...
That would make a great bumper sticker; "What's good for Americans is bad for Democrats".
We may see a bigger blow re Murthas lies and spins about our Marines. Rush talked about this entire pack of lies, spins, and venom yesterday and it is on his web site.
If our side can document the lies, where this came from and how Time spread these vicious lies, Murtha will look worse than Dan Rather does.

That is basically my response to a few lunatic rats in our neighborhood. My current remark is "FDR would have arrested you and hung you for treason if you had been around in WWII with your vile lies!"
They don't know how to respond to that.
If we can time it right, I anticipate a McGovernesque loss for Wacko Jacko Murtha.
I live in a city of them. Anti-Bush, anti-conservative, anti-religious bumper stickers are the norm. Lots and lots of "Free Tibet" and various rainbow stickers.
I saw one yesterday that I thought was noteworthy - "If you forgive everyone, you won't have any enemies". This is bad thinking* on so many levels.
*"Thinking" may not be the correct word here. Not really sure there is any though involved.
