Every Wednesday a small but growing energetic group of Rocklin (near Sacramento) residents gather to rally for our President and our brave and courageous military and annoy the heck out of the Bush haters across the street.
We get a lot of support from Rocklin residents driving by. The hippies may get a few honks, but we get the enthusiastic ones.
Click on the link for some pictures and then go the news link and read about Mark, the young man who saw these goons protesting and what he did. His brother is a marine serving in Iraq.

Are you people so thin-skinnned that you just can't take ANY criticism whatsoever? IT'S A BAD SIGN. Period. I've been here at FR for eight years, I don't need to prove my credentials to you.

I know this is petty, what started as a harmless comment has no morphed me into a troll. The purpose of a sign at a demonstration is to get the attention of the people driving by in less than 10 seconds. Nobody will know what ANSWER stands for. Without that perspective, it doesn't make sense.
Saying that, I love that these guys are out there all the time. I'm proud that there are people who take the time to stand for what they believe, which is why it's important to get it right.

I was stating the truth and stand behind it. However, you are consistent.

I don't see where I called you a troll, or anything else???
I took the message that the sign was trying to get across, and re framed it differently so that people might more easily understand that it was a jab at the ANSWER group.
Thats all!

Rocklin Rocks! Great effort and muchly appreciated by Americans and troops! I love the website with information and the fact that someone is holding a sign with the site. That is great.
That being said, Hildy does have a point about sign simplicity, understandibility and readability. Look at the "evolution' of this sign:
And there is a later one that is slightly better. If you get too clever the message will fly over too many people's heads, also it's hard to read from a car. The letters should be thick and the sign should not have too many words or be too complicated. Computer printing is best and I am working on replacing all my hand printed signs with those. "Say No To Communism" is large and simple and I don't expect people in cars to see the details at the top. However, when moonbats are asking me questions up close I point to the statistic.
But all this is really a small point. Every sign I see in that Rocklin picture is still great and that is a fantastic looking group of patriots! Way to, Rocklin!

Looks like your dealing with the Lake Tahoe/Truckee stoner's who can't graduate from Sierra College because beginner guitar is dumbfounding.

I agree with Hildy. There are a lot clearer, cleverer slogans one could use. See Protest Warrior before next Wed. That said, the girls more than make up for a mediocre slogan.
