I stand corrected then. I did not take the time before posting to look up just exactly what Kerry said and I relied on a summary characterization I read on a thread.
John sKerry said, "Our troops have done their job in Iraq, and they've done it valiantly. It's time to work with the new Iraqi government to bring our combat troops home by the end of this year."
That's like saying to a doctor, "You've done a good job of stabilizing this patient so he's not in immediate danger of death. Let his body take over and forget about stitching up the wounds and taking care of the pain and infection problems."
