Thanks. I was appalled at the lack of programming on D-Day on June 6th. I wrote my son basically the same thing as you, that the media was too busy with The Omen and 6/6/06 to even think that the date might hold some other importance. Pathetic.

The only seem to care about anniversaries when they have a nice round number.

Get XM Radio. On their "Decades" channel for the 40's they had a day long commemoration of D Day including replays of live news broadcasts. They also played patriotic songs and replayed rah-rah go USA ads that were popular when ALL American citizens loved the country.
