President Bush does not normally announce this sort of Fantastic news,usually lets the Military do this. I wonder if this is not Tony Snow's great advice? It is a great moment nevertheless, and the MSM/DNC DU and DAilyKos are getting the roping the dopes treatment IMHO.
I think the Prez wanted to make note of the Defense Minister, etc being approved by the Iraqi government. The Dems made a REAL big stink out of the lack of these positions being filled.
